Goodbye To Free T-Mobile WiFi On United Flights

For years, many T-Mobile customers (or anyone friends with a T-Mobile customer đŸ˜‰ ) enjoyed free WiFi on United.

As of today, that benefit has ended.

Earlier this year, the WiFi benefit ended on American, though AA made WiFi free on most of its planes.

The good news is that United will also offer free WiFi, but only once ultra-speedy Starlink is offered.

While 67% of United’s regional fleet has Starlink on tap, just 2% of United’s mainline fleet has Starlink installed. Those numbers are expected to increase significantly by the end of this year, and the entire fleet is slated to offer Starlink by the end of next year.

In the meantime, you can use the airline fee credits offered on The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express to pay for United WiFi or a United WiFi subscription.

T-Mobile still offers free WiFi on Alaska, Delta, Hawaiian, and Southwest, though all of those airlines are also in the process of rolling out free WiFi, which will render T-Mobile’s offering as obsolete.
