Get A Value Of 2.5 Cents Per Chase Ultimate Rewards Point At Select The Edit Hotels!
Last June, Chase completely remade the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (read more here) and launched the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Card (read more here).
I shared my outtakes of a conversation with Chase Sapphire General Manager Sam Palmer here.
At the time, Chase also launched The Edit collection of hotels to compete with AMEX FHR hotels. Booking them gives perks like a $100 property credit, breakfast, a room upgrade if available, early check-in/late check-out if available, and free WiFi.
There was a fixed value of 2 cents per point for The Edit hotels.
Unfortunately, that went away in December, with hotels now worth 1.65 or 2 cents per point. Chase has also changed up which airlines qualify for Points Boost redemptions.
For a limited time though, you can book the following Edit hotels at a value of 2.5 cents per point:
- Hotel du Couvent, a Luxury Collection Hotel — Nice, France
- InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa — Portsmouth, Dominica
- Four Seasons Hotel Osaka — Osaka, Japan
- Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa — South Caicos
- Nobu Hotel San Sebastian — Basque Country, Spain
- Gardena Grodnerhof Hotel — Italian Dolomites
- Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam — Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Grand Hyatt Deer Valley — Park City, UT
- The Ritz-Carlton, Portland — Portland, OR
- Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado — Santa Fe, NM
- The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel — New York City, NY
The 2.5 cents per point can be stacked with:
- The $300 annual travel credit
- The $250 IHG credit for 2026 on 2+ night stays
- The $250 twice per year Edit credit on 2+ night stays
- You’ll also earn hotel points and elite status at The Edit hotels.
In other words, a 2 night stay at the InterContinental Dominica can cost $766, which would be fully covered by the $800 in credits. Or if you already used your $300 general travel credit, the cost would be $266, which can be covered with just 10.6K points at a value of 2.5 cents per point.
With The Edit you also get daily breakfast for 2, a $100 preperty credit, 4pm guaranteed late checkout, a welcome amenity, free WiFi, and early check-in and an upgrade if available.
Of course, you also have to balance the fact that The Edit hotels often cost more than booking directly.
Sapphire Reserve cards now come with a price match guarantee, though I have seen mixed reports on it working for The Edit hotels, given the added benefits on those stays. You can file a claim within 24 hours of booking. If you want to test it out, be sure to book a refundable rate with the same restrictions and number of guests, and let us know how it goes!
