AMEX Centurion Lounges have faced crowding issues, and the bank has tried to solve those over the years by tightening access rules.
Previously, you were limited to accessing Centurion Lounges within 3 hours of a departing flight, but you could enter the lounge at any time during a connection. Effective today, you can only access the lounge on a connection within 5 hours of the connecting flight.
Previously, you could pay $50 for adult guests or $30 for children guests (or free for guests with $75K annual spend) regardless of which flight they were on. Effective today, you can only bring in guests who are flying on the same flight as the cardmember.
